Rarely have followers of the game had such an opportunity to see every match - and the season as a whole - called from the coach's box. Surprising, fascinating and compelling, Maguire's inside look at the Rabbitohs' road to victory clearly demonstrates what it takes to win a premiership, and just how special an achievement it is for any team.
Michael 'Madge' Maguire is one of rugby league's most respected coaches. A former player with the Canberra Raiders, Maguire began his coaching career as assistant coach of the Melbourne Storm under Craig Bellamy. In 2009 he became head coach of English Super League club Wigan Warriors. In his first year as Wigan coach Maguire won the 2010 Super League Grand Final. A year later he won the 2011 Challenge Cup and was signed up by the South Sydney Rabbitohs, where he began coaching for the 2012 season. In 2014, Maguire took the team to their first premiership in 43 years.
